Fire watch for welding, cutting and grinding.

Trench excavation on a wind-farm construction corridor

Sparks travel further than people think, and most hot work fires start after the welder has packed up. Our fire watch stays with the work, and stays on through the cool down period your permit sets.

During the work and after it.

How pricing works

Quotes are itemised by shift rate, travel, vehicle and equipment, and reporting. Rates are set per fire watch per shift.

Send the site location, the work program, the plant on site, your preferred dates and any permit or network operator conditions. We confirm scope, availability and price before work is booked.

Tickets and competencies

Each shift is filled by personnel holding the tickets and competencies the task requires in that state, such as an endorsed spotter or safety observer course, general construction induction, first aid and CPR, and confined space, gas test or heights units where the work calls for them. Copies are supplied with the quote or before mobilisation on request.

Frequently asked questions

How long does fire watch continue after the work?

As long as your hot work permit sets. On many sites that is at least 30 minutes, and often longer in hot, dry or dusty conditions.

Do you supply extinguishers?

Yes, on request, in addition to the site's own fire equipment.

Can you cover total fire ban days?

Hot work on those days depends on the state rules and any permit from the fire authority. We follow those conditions and your site rules.
